Event: Stourbridge Glass Quarter, West Midlands 2017

Friday 25th – Monday 28th August with a night trail of the windows on Saturday 26th August at sunset.

We are delighted that Window Wanderland and the International Festival of Glass are teaming up in Stourbridge Glass Quarter as a TASTER for the bigger Window Wanderland event taking place in Wordsley in March 2018.

We are inviting residents and businesses who line the Glass Festival route to take part by making a display in their garden or front window. The display can be big or small, from a simple string of fairy lights in your garden to a display of something ‘glass’ in your window for example your favourite vase or picture frames – it’s totally up to you as anything goes!

Local resident and Window Wanderland local organiser Sarah New said “We are inviting residents and local businesses that line the route to take part over the weekend of 25-28 August and show visitors what’s special about living in the Glass Quarter.”

Janine Christly, from the Ruskin Mill Trust, who organises the International Glass Festival, has provided the funding to enable Window Wanderland to be bought to the area said “People travel to the festival from far and wide including international visitors and this project provides an ideal opportunity for local people to participate in the festival”.

The Glass Festival Window Wanderland Route will start from the Festival car park at the Wordsley school on Brierley Hill Road and go along Wordsley High Street past the Red House Glass Cone and on to the Ruskin Glass Centre and Bonded Warehouse. SIGN UP or CONTACT US BELOW!
