Wisbech Window Wanderland
Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Took place on 11‑12 Dec 2020
Welcome to Wisbech Window Wanderland
Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December
Wisbech & Fenland Museum and The Wisbech High Street Project are delighted to be bringing this fantastic festive event to Wisbech and with your help we will transform our streets into a magical walking trail for all to enjoy!
Fancy taking part.
Taking part as a Windowmaker is FREE and everyone’s welcome. You can make a display in the windows of your flat, house, business, school, nursery, car, campervan, shop – or in your front garden!
Seasonal traditions are the theme for this festive event and in-keeping with its Victorian heritage the Museum will be creating a window display inspired by the Christmas tree; the Victorians are credited with popularising the tradition of placing decorated trees inside the home in England at Christmas.
Whatever your traditions at this time of year, celebrate them through your display. Anything goes…as long as it’s family friendly!
Your display could be as simple as a cut-out shape, some colourful tissue paper, or fairy-lights in a window. Please don’t be intimidated; this event is about having fun and spreading some festive cheer within our community.
