WW connects aims to bring neighbourhoods together, reduce social isolation, and inspire creativity.

Since its inception in 2015, over 200 WW events have taken place here in the UK and overseas in Canada, France and Australia. WW provides resources for these events, as well managing one-off projects, such as an online skills workshop planned for January 2021.

The role

Window Wanderland Community Interest Company (CIC) is seeking a part-time freelance Marketing and Communication professional.

Primarily you’ll be responsible for our social media channels with original content creation using our library of images, creating and following a social media schedule to ensure we don’t miss any marketing opportunities. You’ll also be responsible for supporting our crowdfunding campaign, our online community of Wanderland organisers and creating targeted social media advertising campaigns. You’ll be a confident and experienced writer with great national media contacts. Plus, you’ll be responding to press enquiries, supporting Wanderland organisers with PR, and spotting opportunities for us to spread the word about Window Wanderland around the world.

You’ll also have responsibility for some website content creation and blogging, direct marketing initiatives through LinkedIn, and writing our popular Newsletters.

In pre-Covid times we’ve organised events for our organisers and creators. We’ve now gone virtual, so experience of marketing events online would be desirable and, when we can, you’ll be central in our plans to bring our community together in any way we can.
