Jo Bushell, currently artist/producer for Bristol-based arts organisation, Bricks, is joining forces with local Colourful Minds artist, Laura, to work with community volunteers to celebrate all that we love about St Anne’s. This is the first of a series of events running in this little known riverside area of the city as part of Brick’s Creative Community Mapping Project (see website above).
Laura and Jo will begin by working with pupils from St Anne’s Infant School to bring their thoughts and dreams alive by making a poignant and colourful display to illuminate their school windows for all to see as the night draws in.
Local residents will also make a big statement by illuminating the whole first floor of St Anne’s House with images depicting both their love of the area and their dreams for it’s future!
NB this spring Window Wanderland is just St Anne’s school and St Anne’s house: a full Wanderland will return to Brislington this autumn!
