Welcome to Armley Window Wanderland.
Armley Window Wanderland is a community-led creative project designed to bring people together during the darkest and quietest time of the year. It offers a simple, joyful way for us to participate in something shared, visible and up-lifting in Armley. We invite Armley folk to create a small window display using accessible, low-cost materials.
This is a pilot (taster) year – the festival will concentrate around the February half-term 16-20th February starting with a few days leading up to half-term. There will be a few free workshops across Armley to give you ideas to get started with decorating your windows. Then we will arrange after-dark walking trail dates, so we can gather and see our Armley windows.
“Let’s light up Armley one window at a time!”
Fancy taking part?
Taking part as a Windowmaker is free, and everyone’s welcome. You can put something together in the window of your flat or house, your shop or business, a school or nursery – even your car, campervan or front garden.
