Cathcart Window Wanderland 2025

Cathcart and neighbouring areas of Merrylee and Muirend

Took place on 7‑9 Mar 2025

This event has already taken place.

We are Cathcart & District Community Council and we are delighted to be bringing this fantastic festival once again to Cathcart. With your help, we will transform the streets into a magical outdoor gallery of decorated, illuminated windows for all to enjoy!

Last year’s festival was a huge success with wonderful window displays, fantastic front room gigs and hundreds of people on the streets enjoying the spectacle.

The festival is open to everyone whatever your age or ability and we would love YOU to join in the fun. It’s completely FREE  and you don’t need to be artistic to take part!
We’ll be running free local workshops nearer the time to help with ideas and materials. Your display can be as simple as candles or fairy lights  – or a display of your favourite books or toys. Or you could go all out and stage a performance in your front room. Anything goes….. as long as it’s family friendly!

Our theme this year is Kings and Queens in recognition of our area’s connection to Mary Queen of Scots.

Here’s a list of what to do next:

  • Click on ‘Take part in this event’ to add your location to our map
  • You’ll get a ‘Welcome Pack’ when you sign in and access to lots of inspiration for windows too
  • Tell your friends and neighbours and ask them to get involved!

If you have any questions or would like to sponsor, promote or volunteer to help with this event, please contact us through Contact organiser (The Orange button) on the right or email cathcartwindowwanderland@gmail.
