Window Wanderland is returning to City of London estates!
This year, we will be working with residents, groups and housing estate teams to co-produce this creative community project.
Window Wanderland offers a free open creative workshop to each estate. Through these, residents will be invited to create vibrant window displays for their flats or communal spaces. Residents who can’t attend the workshops, can also make displays and take part in the project.
Over one weekend in March, these will be lit up and residents will be invited to explore the displays produced by their neighbours.
Anyone can make a window display, leave the lights on, and go out to see the other displays people have created. It’s a fun, child-friendly, community event.
In 2017, Window Wanderland took place across Aldgate, and with Middlesex Street and Mansell Street Estate residents. In 2019, the project was run across City of London housing estates. This year, it will be co-produced with people from across these estates, who will work together to develop the project and to create a spectacular community display.
