Portland 2020
Portland Window Wanderland will kick off from Easton Square this year.
Took place on 28 Feb‑1 Mar 2020
This event has already taken place.
Join us on a magical evening walk and enjoy colourful displays in windows & gardens as ‘Window Wanderland’ returns to Portland for a third time. This year, this unique community event will launch from Easton Square and we hope the whole island will be turned into an outdoor gallery. Everyone is encouraged at having a go at lighting up their neighbourhood. You don’t need to be an artist or have loads of time on your hands- fairy lights or balloons can look just as effective as complicated designs. Help create a colourful outdoor festival for everyone to enjoy!
‘Window Wanderland’, was founded by Lucy Reeves Khan and is a nation-wide cultural event that has been transforming UK streets in mid-winter since 2015 and is already a regular fixture in many towns and cities and still growing. As a not-for-profit organisation, ‘Window Wanderland’ is passionate about social change and recognises that although we live closer than ever, we are becoming more isolated, with over 7.5 million people now living alone in the UK.
