Eye Window Wanderland – Help to Create a Magical Winter Trail
Peterborough Presents are building up to the 2024 Light Up Eye Lantern Parade and to get us warmed up. We are working with Eye to create Peterborough’s first ‘Window Wanderland’. Which is a national project that has lit 100’s of towns and cities throughout the UK, its a project that encourages communities to come together to light up their neighbourhood and to create some shiny joy in the darkest part of the year.
So how does Window Wanderland do that? It’s a magical evening walk around the village and an opportunity to enjoy colourful displays in the windows and gardens of Eye neighbours and businesses. There will be a map for people to follow, a treasure hunt and even hot chocolate at a community venue.
How can residents from Eye help us?
If you can spare a window, notice board or front gate and are willing to have it lit up for three nights on March the 7th, 8th and 9th from 6-9pm
Just sign up and Peterborough Presents will help you to create a display by providing materials and support from a local artist. Windows can be a single candle lit in memory of a loved one to interactive displays and they can be humorous or artistic. What is in the windows is up to you: Anything goes!
