Welcome to the first Manx Window Wanderland – A Walking Trail to Light up the Isle of Man Winter and Inspire Creativity. Supported by Isle of Man Arts Council.

Imagine walking around your streets at night and seeing your neighbourhood in a whole new light. Window Wanderland, a fun and heart-warming community project that started in Bristol in 2015 is coming to the Isle of Man for the first time in March 2025, and it promises to be a celebration of imagination, creativity and community.

What is Window Wanderland?

Window Wanderland invites residents in Douglas, Peel and Port Erin to turn their windows or gardens into displays of creativity, forming a magical trail for the local community to explore. Whether it’s a simple string of fairy lights, a living room concert, or a magical winter scene, the only limit is your imagination. The goal is to create family-friendly displays that anyone can enjoy.

Window Wanderland is being brought to life as a pilot project via some members of the Island Venue Network; a collective of local arts and performance spaces who started to meet quarterly in 2023 to share knowledge, discuss challenges facing the community arts sector and collaborate on national projects such as this. The pilot of Window Wanderland is supported by a grant from Isle of Man Arts Council.
