We are very excited to announce that Friends of Maryhill Park in Glasgow will be holding our second Window Wanderland event on Saturday 2nd of March.
The main event will happen on Saturday night, but this year we’ll be inviting window makers to leave their displays up for two nights – just in case the weather lets us down [again]. The fun stuff is planned for the Saturday evening, but we’d love if you could leave your window up on Sunday night too.
What is it?
Window Wanderland is an evening arts trail, where people in a small neighbourhood decorate and light up their windows, inviting neighbours and the wider community to wander the streets and look at their home-made exhibition.
Our event will run from 6.30pm-9pm. We will be announcing an artist-run workshop to help prepare very soon, but for now save the date and start thinking about how you can collaborate with your friends, family and neighbours to ‘dress up’ your windows for the night.
The core streets will be those in the immediate vicinity of Maryhill park, but those nearby are more than welcome to join in, there are no restrictions around who can participate.
You can sign up on the interactive map from today.
