Southfields, London 2026

Window Wanderland is returning to Southfields for it’s 9th year in February 2026 (Saturday, 28th & Sunday, 1st March).  Following a gap year, a previous regular on the Southfields circuit for 8 years, Window Wanderland has become a much loved community event bringing light and joy to the dark winter nights.

This year alongside SGRA Grid Kids, with your help our aim is to transform our streets for one weekend into a magical outdoor gallery for all to see.

Taking part is FREE and everyone in our community is welcome. You can make a display in the windows of your flat, house, business, school, nursery, car, campervan, shop – or in your front garden!

“But I’m not creative” I hear you say. Well, you don’t have to be! Your display could be something as simple as fairy lights in the window, a candle, balloons, your favourite book or dress, your dog! – or simply just open your curtains and show us your lovely interiors.  Alternatively you can go all out and stage a performance in your front room, host karaoke in your front garden, open a sweet shop – or project something onto your building. Simple or spectacular, it’s completely up to you. Every window is special.  This is a family event so please bear this in mind when creating your displays.

What to do next:

2. You’ll get a ‘Welcome Pack’ when you sign in with access to lots of inspiration for windows.
3. Tell your friends and neighbours (especially those who are elderly and don’t use Social Media) and ask them to get involved or help them decorate their windows.

Behind the scenes, we are only a small team of volunteers with busy families running this in our spare time and we appreciate any help – great or small.

Please spread the word on your street WhatsApp groups and encourage as many friends, neighbours or people you pass in the street to join in.  We would love families to encourage children to contribute and help make windows.
