Tetbury 2023

We are delighted to be holding a second Window Wanderland festival in Tetbury in 2023 from Thursday 9th until Sunday 12th February.  The first event last year was a great success but we can always do better!  Groups like the schools, the care homes, the Youth Club , the U3A and some shops and businesses joined dozens of individuals to light up 75 colourful windows in all corners of the town. 

The theme this time will be “Reasons to be Cheerful.  It could be anything that makes you happy –  your favourite pudding, your pet rabbit or your favourite book, song or band.  

It would be fantastic to see more groups taking part in this community event.  The only constraints are that the windows should be child friendly and street facing, so you might have to borrow a window to decorate.  Get in touch (tetburywindowwanderland@gmail.com) if you want help to find a window or window maker.  Every house in the town is invited to take part.  Your street could make a massive impact by banding together and creating a few windows within sight of one another, a chance to work with your neighbours and perhaps make new friends.

It’s completely free to take part, either as a window maker or a wanderer.  Like last year, there will be workshops at weekends  in January at Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre to help with inspiration and meet experienced window makers.  We will offer a selection of low cost materials too.  Dates are Saturdays 7, 14 and 28th, and Sunday 22nd, 11am to 2pm.  So get those creative juices flowing and let’s see what we can do this time!
