SCARE AND SHARE! Anderston Primary Parent Council and The Pyramid at Anderston invite you to join our Hallowe’en Window Wanderland on Saturday 31st October.

All treats no tricks for our covid-safe guising alternative! Join us to create a magical spooky outdoor trail of windows in our community. Let your imagination go wild and make a display at home, at work, in your car or  in your garden – anywhere with a window or your own outdoor space. Local shops and businesses are encouraged to join in too!

Your display can be anything you like, you can add music or sound, lights to mark Hallowe’en – or The Day of the Dead, Divali, Autumn or whatever you fancy! Displays can be as simple – a pumpkin (turnip if you’re traditional!)or string of lights, a balloon, etc – or as intricate as you like.

The Pyramid at Anderston will be providing free window making packs to our children at Anderston Primary and St Patrick’s Primary with some materials to get you started – details will be sent via school.

As a Covid-safe alternative to guising, we’re inviting all primary school aged children in the G3 7 and G3 8 area to come to The Pyramid and pick up free covid-safe treat bags and snacks before or after they go wandering with their families. Dressing up is encouraged and there’ll be spot prizes for our favourites! This will be free but ticketed, timings and info will be provided via school.

Sign up your window on our map, make your display and then wander round (in your own household group, following Scottish Government guidelines) to see what everyone else has made.

How to take part

Taking part as a Window-Maker is FREE and everyone is welcome. Choose your window(s) – your flat, house, shop, business, school, nursery, car, campervan or outdoor space.

Displays can be as simple as a candle, pumpkin, fairy-lights or a toy – or go all out! Some Window-Makers even stage mini performances or create whole rooms for display – anything goes, as long as it’s family-friendly.

Click on ‘Take part in this event’ and add your location to our map.

You’ll get a Welcome Pack online and access to lots of previous windows and displays to give you some ideas.

Tell your friends, neighbours, school pals and colleagues and ask them to join in too!
