Window Wanderland – A Remembrance Walking Trail to Light Up Long Melford
Please join us! We have heard about an event that would be great for our community and want to use this to commemorate Remembrance Day 2020 in Long Melford.
With current restrictions in place we know it will be harder for people to attend services this year and this Covid-safe event could be a great way for Long Melford to come together to remember those who gave so much.
What is it?
Window Wanderland started in Bristol in 2015 where residents and businesses alike, just like you, made a display from their window forming a walking trail for a Winters evening. You can do whatever you want within the Remembrance theme, from a simple poppy, candle or a dove in the window or a cut out silhouette. From simple to spectacular- it’s completely up to you as anything goes as long as it’s within the Remembrance theme and is respectful.
It’s really easy to do, you can take part by either making a display or simply by coming out on the trail on one of the nights and see your neighbours in a new light.
It’s great fun to participate in and open to EVERYONE.
You can drop us an email to register your interest and we can send you a pack with more info on how it works or you can sign up and add your address to the Long Melford map here.
